Governor Balochistan Emphasizes Economic Growth and Trade Opportunities at Business Excellence Awards Ceremony

Quetta, Balochistan:Governor of Balochistan, Zahfar Khan Mandokhel, stressed the importance of traders, industrialists, and landowners in the economic framework of the country, stating that the growth of Pakistan’s economy is deeply reliant on their contributions. Speaking at the Business Excellence Awards ceremony hosted by the Quetta Chamber of Small Industries, he acknowledged the government’s responsibility to provide essential facilities, create economic opportunities, and offer access to international markets.

“Traders, industrialists, and landowners are the backbone of our economic system,” said Governor Mandokhel. “As a government, it is our duty to ensure that you receive all necessary support, enabling us to create opportunities for economic growth and better access to neighboring markets.”

The governor emphasized the interconnectedness of global and local markets, stating that both national and international markets complement each other. “In this interconnected world, national and international markets are not opposites but help one another,” he said.

Governor Mandokhel highlighted Balochistan’s strategic location and abundant natural resources, which position it as a vital economic and trade hub not just for Pakistan, but for the entire region. He further mentioned that Balochistan is poised to become a major center for both land-based and maritime trade activities.

“Balochistan is not just a province but a potential economic and trade hub for the entire region. We now have the opportunity to transform it into a center for global trade, connecting local businesses with international markets,” he said.

He reassured investors that the current government is committed to providing full protection to national and international investors, offering profitable investment opportunities in the province. The governor encouraged businesses to capitalize on these opportunities and work towards building a brighter future for Balochistan and Pakistan as a whole.

The ceremony also saw the distribution of Business Excellence Awards among outstanding businessmen, businesswomen, and organizers who have made significant contributions to the region’s industrial and commercial sectors.
