Sindh Government Gives Final Deadline for New Vehicle Number Plates

Karachi:The Sindh government has issued a final deadline for vehicle owners to get new number plates. Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation, Mukesh Chawla, announced that after April 3, only vehicles with the new Ajrak-themed number plates will be accepted across the province.

He further stated that to facilitate the process, the Traffic Police will be provided counters at the Civic Center and facilitation centers for a one-window operation. Additionally, new number plates will be made available at traffic police checkposts to ensure timely issuance.

Chawla also mentioned that vehicle transfers and tax payments for vehicles with outstanding fines will be conditioned on the payment of those fines.
