**Punjab Information Minister Azmiya Bukhari Criticizes Imran Khan Following 190 Million Pounds Scandal Verdict**
Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) – Punjab Information Minister Azmiya Bukhari has strongly criticized former Prime Minister Imran Khan following the verdict in the 190 million pounds scandal, stating that it has shattered any remaining claims of his honesty and integrity. Speaking at a press conference, Bukhari pointed out that the case had been repeatedly delayed, with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) lawyers having to hold 35 hearings just to complete cross-examination. She questioned why the PTI leaders were now crying over the verdict after previously claiming they wanted a decision.
Bukhari also commented on the behavior of PTI leaders, who were seen laughing and joking alongside Shahid Khaqan Abbasi the day after the verdict, implying that they did not appear distressed by the conviction of their leader.
She went on to elaborate on the details of the case, stating that PTI ministers had admitted that the cabinet’s decision was made hastily in a matter of minutes, with approval for a closed envelope signed off within three and a half minutes. Bukhari emphasized that PTI’s own ministers were witnesses to this.
The Information Minister also referred to the property tycoon involved in the case, mentioning that Imran Khan had previously made favorable remarks about him. She accused the central figures of the deal, Farah Gogi and Shahzad Akbar, of taking part in a corrupt transaction, which included land and large sums of money being transferred to the Al-Qadir account.
Bukhari pointed out the hypocrisy of PTI’s leaders, stating that despite allegations against them, figures like Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz had been cleared by the National Crime Agency (NCA), and questioned how PTI could accuse the courts of overlooking evidence for their benefit.
She concluded by noting the irony that Shahzad Akbar, who had previously promised to bring back certain individuals, now found himself in a similar situation. Bukhari assured that the government would work to bring all the accused back to face justice.
