18 U.S. States Sue President Trump Over Birthright Citizenship Revocation

Washington:Eighteen U.S. states have filed a lawsuit against President Donald Trump over his decision to revoke birthright citizenship. According to foreign news agencies, the Democrats have also rallied against the presidential executive order, calling it an overreach of authority.

The Democrats are strongly opposing the change in immigration policy, asserting that President Trump has exceeded his constitutional powers with this move. In addition, Trump has announced plans to deport illegal immigrants from the United States.

Bloomberg reports that India will repatriate 18,000 illegal Indian immigrants residing in the U.S. to avoid a trade war with the Trump administration and maintain better bilateral relations. The U.S. and Indian governments have identified these 18,000 individuals, although the actual number of Indian illegal immigrants in the U.S. may be much higher.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration has suspended a plan to transfer 1,660 Afghan nationals to the United States.
