Benazir Bhutto, who served as Pakistan’s Prime Minister twice, is remembered for her resilience in facing both political opposition and the military regimes of **General Zia-ul-Haq** and **General Pervez Musharraf**. Her leadership was defined by her commitment to democracy and her struggle for Pakistan’s progress, despite facing numerous challenges.
In 2007, after ending her self-imposed exile, Benazir Bhutto returned to Pakistan with the hopes of reinstating democracy. Her arrival was marred by a deadly **bomb attack on October 18, 2007**, during her welcome procession, which claimed the lives of hundreds.
Tragically, just a few months later, on **December 27, 2007**, as she was leaving a rally in **Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh**, she was assassinated in a devastating attack that shocked the nation and the world. Her death left a void in Pakistan’s political landscape, and she remains one of the most revered leaders in the country’s history.
On this solemn occasion, political leaders and party workers have gathered in **Larkana** to pay tribute to the late leader. Former President **Asif Ali Zardari**, along with **Bilawal Bhutto Zardari**, **Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari**, and **Asifa Bhutto Zardari**, have arrived in **Naudero** to commemorate the anniversary.
Asif Ali Zardari visited the **Grave of Benazir Bhutto at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh**, where he laid a floral wreath and offered prayers.
The preparations for the anniversary ceremony are now complete, with a special **BB Shaheed memorial rally** scheduled to take place in **Larkana** in honor of her legacy.
