No Knowledge of Any Plan to Impose Governor’s Rule in Balochistan, Says Governor Jaffar Mandokhail
QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Jaffar Mandokhail has said he has no knowledge of any move to impose Governor’s Rule in the province, adding that the matter rests with influential decision-makers in Islamabad.
Speaking to the media in Quetta, the governor said the decision regarding the imposition of Governor’s Rule in Balochistan was in the hands of those holding authority in Islamabad.
He reiterated that he had no information about any plan to impose Governor’s Rule in the province.
Commenting on the law and order situation, Mandokhail acknowledged that the security situation in Balochistan was not satisfactory.
He said that in his capacity as governor, there were several matters on which he could not speak openly at present.
“Once I am no longer the governor, I will comment on these issues openly,” he added.
