Opposition Leader Says He Does Not Accept the Speaker, Yet He Assumed Office Through the Speaker’s Signature: Rana Sanaullah
ISLAMABAD (Qudrat Daily) — Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Senator Rana Sanaullah has said that Opposition Leader Mahmood Achakzai says he does not accept the Speaker, yet he assumed the office through the Speaker’s signature. If you do not deem it acceptable to go to the Speaker’s chamber, then why have you taken the office, why are you receiving the privileges? Speaking in the Senate session, he said that in the past, terrorism was eliminated under Operation Zarb-e-Azb; Operation Zarb-e-Azb was initiated with consensus.
Setting other matters aside, the entire nation should be united on the issue of terrorism. Now the matter is that the Opposition Leader of the National Assembly assumed office through the Speaker’s signature, but he does not deem it acceptable to go to the Speaker’s chamber. He says he will not go to his chamber and does not accept him as Speaker. Then either you should have said that I do not accept you, therefore why should I assume the office of Opposition Leader through your signature? You have taken the office of Opposition Leader and are receiving privileges, but you are not prepared to go to the Speaker’s chamber to meet the Prime Minister.
