Governor’s Rule, Emergency to Deliver Positive Results in 90 Days, Says KP Governor’s Adviser

PESHAWAR:Adviser to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor on Information and Public Relations Samar Haroon Bilour has said that the imposition of governor’s rule and emergency in the province is not intended to target anyone for political revenge, but those found responsible for plundering the province’s wealth and resources will not be spared.
Speaking to the media, Samar said the positive results of governor’s rule and the emergency would become clearly visible within 90 days. She expressed confidence that the measures would lead to a significant reduction in unrest and terrorism, while improving the morale and operational capacity of the police and Frontier Constabulary (FC).
She said the measures would also help improve trade activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and remove road blockades, making it easier for people and goods to move across the province.
Samar emphasized that the government would not engage in political victimization. However, she warned that anyone found involved in the misuse or plundering of the province’s wealth and resources would face strict action.
“Every case will be examined on the basis of evidence and proof. If anyone is found involved in wrongdoing, the matter will be brought before the public and strict action will be taken,” she said.
The adviser added that improved coordination among the federal and provincial governments, armed forces and police would help facilitate trade, ensure smoother public movement and remove road closures across the province.
She further stated that the government would address public issues in a phased manner and would not resort to political revenge, stressing that the primary objective of the measures was to improve security, governance and public convenience in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
