Highways in Balochistan Have Become Unsafe, Drugs Being Sold in Schools and Colleges Like Chocolate: Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch

QUETTA (Daily Qudrat Quetta): The ongoing session of the Balochistan Assembly became the centre of a highly important debate when, speaking on a point of order, MPA Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman expressed serious concern over the law and order situation in the province, unsafe highways and the horrific curse of drugs.

Addressing the House, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman said that unfortunately, today our highways have become completely unsafe for passengers and ordinary citizens, where law and order problems and travel risks are faced every day. He stressed that the protection of people’s lives and property is the foremost responsibility of the state, for which practical measures are indispensable.

Expressing intense anger over the rising sale of drugs in the province, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman revealed that drug dealers are systematically destroying our new generations. He said that alcohol is being openly sold across the province, and now the situation has become so alarming that drugs have reached educational institutions, where this poison is now being “sold like chocolate.” The MPA demanded that the government and relevant institutions take immediate, indiscriminate and strictest action against drug dealers and those spreading this scourge, so that the young generation can be saved from this destruction.
