Pakistan Successfully Tests Extended-Range Version of Fatah-2 Ballistic Missile

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army has successfully conducted a test launch of the extended-range (ER) version of the Fatah-2 ballistic missile, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
According to the military’s media wing, the missile is equipped with an advanced navigation system and state-of-the-art avionics technology.
The ISPR stated that Fatah-2 can strike targets with high precision due to its distinctive flight trajectory and ability to change direction during flight. These capabilities also enable the missile to overcome enemy missile defence systems, according to the statement.
The extended-range version is expected to further enhance the Pakistan Army’s capability to engage targets at greater distances.
The test was witnessed by the Commander of the Army Rocket Force Command, senior Pakistan Army officers, and relevant scientists and engineers.
On the occasion, the Commander of the Army Rocket Force Command appreciated the dedication, hard work and technical expertise of the scientists and engineers involved in the missile’s development and testing.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, and the chiefs of the three armed services congratulated the scientists and engineers on the successful test.
