Jamaat-e-Islami’s Opposition to Emergency and Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Lahore (Qudrat Daily): Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, while strongly opposing the imposition of emergency and Governor’s Rule by the federal government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has termed it anti-democratic and a failure of the caretaker and power-wielding forces.

According to details, in his reaction posted on the social media website X, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that when forces occupying positions of power try to govern through unconstitutional and undemocratic tactics like Governor’s Rule and emergency, it clearly and plainly means that the lamp of their government is now about to be extinguished. Jamaat-e-Islami completely opposes emergency and Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa because such extraordinary measures can never be a solution to problems.

Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, firing arrows of criticism at parties included in the PDM, said that the drama that PDM parties started at the time of regime change continues to this day, and their journey of anti-democratic behavior continues uninterrupted. The history of Muslim League-N and Peoples Party has always been full of imposing Governor’s Rule and not accepting the public mandate. From the current situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and such actions, it has become clear as daylight that this system imposed on the country through Form 47 has now completely flopped and failed.
