Five Decades of Rulers’ Flawed Domestic and Foreign Policies Have Plunged Pashtunkhwa Homeland into Worst Terrorism and Destruction: Khushal Kakar

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta) — Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PNAP) Chairman and Member National Assembly Khushal Khan Kakar has said that the Pashtunkhwa homeland is currently suffering from the worst terrorism, instability, and political and economic crisis, the root cause of which, according to him, is the flawed domestic and foreign policies of the rulers over the past five decades. These policies have not only affected the peace and stability of the Pashtunkhwa homeland but have also plunged the entire country into serious problems such as instability, extremism, and terrorism.
He expressed these views while addressing an open gathering of the regional conference of the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party linked to Quetta District at Takhtani Bypass One. He said that eliminating terrorism and instability and establishing sustainable peace in the country is the fundamental objective of his political struggle. The Pashtun people have been rendering heavy sacrifices against terrorism for the past several decades, and the time has now come to compensate for these sacrifices by establishing permanent peace in the Pashtunkhwa homeland.
Khushal Khan Kakar said that the present devastation and instability in the Pashtunkhwa homeland has become unbearable. Terrorist incidents in areas such as southern Pashtunkhwa have created fear and anxiety among the people, and normal life has been severely affected. Confronting these conditions is not possible for any single party or individual; rather, political unity, national consensus, and public power must be utilized for this purpose.
He urged all political parties, tribal and social circles, and the people to rise above their differences and unite for the establishment of fundamental rights and peace, and to form a joint national front.
The party chairman said that gaining local people’s control over the natural resources of the Pashtunkhwa homeland is also an important part of their struggle. This region is rich in minerals, rivers, forests, and other natural resources, but according to him, the local population does not have the control over their resources that is their fundamental right. The first right to the benefits derived from minerals and other natural resources should belong to the people of the areas where these resources exist.
He said that the objective of the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party is not merely the politics of power but the protection of the national, political, economic, social, and constitutional rights of the people. The party will continue its struggle for the solution of the real problems of the people by organizing them, and for provincial autonomy, national equality, democracy, and social justice.
Khushal Khan Kakar urged the workers to further strengthen the party, increase contacts with the people, and advance the democratic and political struggle for the solution of public problems by highlighting them in every area. He said that in the current conditions, there is a need for unity and consensus rather than dividing the people, and the party will not leave the people of the Pashtunkhwa homeland alone in any case.
