Sohail Afridi Announces Another Change in Long March Route, Sets New Schedule

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has finalized a revised programme for the next phase of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march, with the route now scheduled to pass through Charsadda and Mardan before reaching Swabi on October 11.

According to the revised schedule, the chief minister will address gatherings at different locations in Peshawar today, October 8, and spend the night in the city.

The long march participants will travel to Charsadda on October 9, where they will stay overnight.

On October 10, the march will proceed towards Mardan, with participants scheduled to spend the night there.

On October 11, all caravans of the long march will head towards Swabi, where they will stay overnight. Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is expected to announce the next course of action there.

Under the programme, the chief minister will remain among the public and party workers in different districts until October 11 and lead the next phase of the long march.

PTI provincial General Secretary Ali Asghar has directed all district organisations, elected representatives and workers to ensure organised welcomes and effective public mobilisation along the route.

The latest announcement marks another change in the route and schedule of the ongoing PTI long march.
