OGRA Announces Petrol Price Increase, Diesel Price Cut; New Rates Effective Tonight

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily): OGRA has announced a change in petroleum product prices. According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs1.82 per litre, while the price of diesel has been reduced by 91 paisas per litre.
The new price of petrol has been set at Rs396.65, and the price of high-speed diesel at Rs394.94.
The new prices will take effect from 12 midnight tonight.
Crude oil prices in the international market continue to rise. According to a news agency, the price of Brent crude rose by 93 cents, or 0.92 percent, to reach $101.51 per barrel. In addition, the price of US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also increased by 82 cents, or 0.92 percent, to reach $90.25 per barrel.
According to the news agency, the rise in oil prices is driven by concerns over supply disruptions from US oil-producing regions and attacks by Yemen’s Houthis on Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, crude oil supply from the Middle East also continues to increase.
