Farah Nadir Reveals How Much Pakistani Actors Earn From TV Dramas
LAHORE: Senior Pakistani actress Farah Nadir has revealed details about the earnings and fees received by actors working in the country’s television drama industry.
Farah Nadir recently appeared as a guest on a private television channel’s programme, where she discussed various aspects of the showbiz industry, including its financial side.
Responding to a question from host Wasi Shah, the veteran actress shed light on how much people associated with the entertainment industry can earn.
She said actors can receive substantial payments, explaining that if an ordinary person earns around Rs100,000 in a month, an actor can make a similar amount in just 10 days.
Farah Nadir said actors and actresses playing lead roles earn considerably more. According to her, a lead actor or actress can easily receive between Rs1.5 million and Rs2 million for a drama, while in some cases the fee can rise to Rs3 million or even Rs4 million.
She added that the showbiz industry can be a highly lucrative field if producers make payments to actors on time.
It is worth noting that Farah Nadir did not personally name any actor while discussing the fees. However, the female host of the programme mentioned the names of Humayun Saeed, Fawad Mustafa, Feroze Khan, Ahsan Khan, Iqra Aziz, Sajal Aly and Hania Aamir during the discussion.
Farah Nadir began her acting career with the classic television drama Khuda Ki Basti and has remained associated with the Pakistani entertainment industry for several decades.
