Farah Nadir Reveals Details About Pakistani Actors’ Earnings and Fees

KARACHI:Veteran Pakistani actress Farah Nadir has shared insights into the earnings and fees of actors working in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.

Farah Nadir recently appeared as a guest on a private television channel’s programme, where she discussed various aspects of the showbiz industry, including its financial side.

Responding to a question from host Wasi Shah, the veteran actress spoke about the earning potential of people associated with the entertainment industry.

She said actors could earn substantial amounts, explaining that if an ordinary person earns around Rs100,000 in a month, an actor could potentially earn a similar amount within 10 days.

Farah Nadir added that actors and actresses playing lead roles generally receive considerably higher fees.

According to the veteran actress, a leading actor or actress can easily earn between Rs1.5 million and Rs2 million for a drama, while in some cases the fee can rise to between Rs3 million and Rs4 million.

She said showbiz could be a highly lucrative profession if producers paid artists their agreed fees on time.

It is worth noting that Farah Nadir did not name any specific actors while discussing the figures. The female host of the programme mentioned the names of several prominent Pakistani stars, including Humayun Saeed, Fahad Mustafa, Feroze Khan, Ahsan Khan, Iqra Aziz, Sajal Aly and Hania Aamir.

Farah Nadir began her acting career with the classic television drama *Khuda Ki Basti* and has remained associated with the Pakistani entertainment industry for decades.
