If India Wants to Stage a Drama, Let It Try: Our Response Will Be Very Tough, Like the Battle of Truth — DG ISPR

RAWALPINDI (Daily Qudrat) — Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that if India wants to stage a drama, let it try — our response will be very tough, like the battle of truth. He said it is unfortunate that we are faced with a vile enemy who thinks everything can be settled with lies. He added, what kind of country is India that it awarded Abhinandan for downing his own jet?

Addressing a press conference in Rawalpindi, DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that on the night of September 29, the Indian Army Corps claimed through a social media post that during an operation in an area of Indian-occupied Kashmir, it had killed a dangerous terrorist of Lashkar-e-Taiba named Muhammad Asif alias Hashim Musa. Subsequently, Indian news agencies and the army, while formally issuing a service number, claimed that the person killed was a former Havaldar of Pakistan’s Special Services Group (SSG) who had carried out attacks in various areas of the occupied valley.

Rejecting all these Indian claims as a pack of lies, the DG ISPR presented Havaldar Muhammad Asif alive and well before journalists. Speaking to the media on this occasion, Havaldar Muhammad Asif, a resident of Pindi Gheb in Attock district, said, “I am completely alive. I am working in a private security company in Rawalpindi and I am present before you.”

He said that yesterday, suddenly, calls from friends and relatives started coming to him that Indian media was airing news of his martyrdom, at which he was extremely surprised. He said he was sitting at home astonished at the claims. “I retired from SSG in 2023. I have fought for my country before and I am ready to fight again. I strongly condemn India’s baseless and shameful allegation. India has leveled a false allegation against my country. I am alive and well before all of you.”
