“Step Out of Egos, No One Will Be Victorious in This Fight; The State Should Open the Path of Negotiation”: Khawaja Saad Rafique

LAHORE (Qudrat Daily) — Pakistan Muslim League-N senior leader and former Federal Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, expressing deep concern over the country’s serious political and economic situation, the ongoing confrontation and the anticipated protest tension, has made a strong appeal to both the government and the opposition to rise above their egos, stubbornness and factionalism and immediately adopt the path of dialogue.
In a message posted on social media in this regard, Khawaja Saad Rafique, addressing the government and the protesting political parties, said that they should talk to each other and keep the process of dialogue going. If there is an intention to resolve issues, a way certainly emerges. No one will be victorious in this confrontation, because in this conflict everyone is losing and the country is being severely harmed. The state always takes the initiative, therefore the government should come forward and take the initiative.

Warning the political leadership, he said that loss of life and property must be avoided in every case. Tearing apart each other’s self-respect is small-mindedness, not any matter of pride. At this time, Pakistan is burning and groaning in the fire of inflation, unemployment, injustice and terrorism, and its cry must be heard immediately. The life of the common man has become so hard that living has become almost impossible, and he is no longer interested in political leaders’ debates, accusations, squabbles and trumpeting of services.
Recalling the sense of historical responsibility, Khawaja Saad Rafique said that if timely treatment is not given, bleeding wounds become festering sores, and then the entire nation has to pay its price for decades. History is being written, which can neither be imprisoned nor stopped, and rulers who leave behind incurable wounds always stand in the dock of history. Civil society, people of heart and people of compassion should awaken; national awakening and the continuity of the call to truth is the dire need of the hour. Whoever and wherever they are, they should raise their voice to play their positive role.
