PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Signals Readiness for Talks with Government

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has expressed the party’s willingness to engage in talks with the government, saying PTI leadership and Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai are ready for dialogue.
In a statement, Barrister Gohar said there was currently no apparent inclination within the government to resolve the ongoing issues through dialogue.
He said Mahmood Achakzai and PTI leadership were prepared to hold talks, adding that they knew whom they needed to engage with, but regretted that no dialogue was taking place at present.
The PTI chairman also remarked that “governor’s rule” was already in place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa even before any formal imposition of such a measure.
Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Raja Nasir Abbas said the country’s problems could be addressed by facilitating a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan.
He said that even if any message regarding a meeting with the PTI founder had been conveyed, it had not reached him.
