Chief Minister Sohail Afridi Issues Political Challenge to PML-N

Peshawar (Qudrat Daily): Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi, while issuing an open political challenge to PML-N, has said that PML-N should choose any city in Punjab, PTI will select a city of its own choice, while PML-N should also decide the day, date, and time of the rally.

In a statement on the social media platform X, Sohail Afridi said that both parties should be provided with a complete and level political playing field. He added that if PML-N’s rally proves to be larger than PTI’s rally in terms of public participation, he is ready to quit politics.

He said that if PTI’s rally turns out to be larger, then PML-N will have to answer questions before the people of Punjab regarding its public mandate, alleged oppression and violence against political workers, style of governance, and performance, and will have to apologize to the people along with reviewing its political strategy and leadership.

The PTI leader said that if PML-N has confidence in its government’s performance and popularity among the people of Punjab, then it should have no hesitation in accepting this challenge.

The KP Chief Minister said that the biggest political test for PML-N is the performance of Maryam Nawaz’s government. According to him, if PML-N has confidence in its government’s performance and public popularity, then it should come into the political arena and let the power of the people decide.

Sohail Afridi said that the decision should not be based on claims, official statistics, or media statements, but rather on public participation in rallies and public reaction. He said the challenge has been clearly placed before them, and now the people of Punjab will decide.

In his statement, Sohail Afridi, referring to the February 8 general elections, claimed that the people of Punjab had given PTI a two-thirds majority on that occasion.
