“I Challenge You to Remove Sohail Afridi, We Will Make Him CM Again the Next Day”: Junaid Akbar

Lahore (Qudrat Daily) — PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar has said, “I challenge you to remove Sohail Afridi; we will make him Chief Minister again the next day.” He added that when Sohail Afridi was first becoming Chief Minister, even then establishment touters kept spreading different claims.

Speaking on Express News’ program, he said that when Sohail Afridi was becoming Chief Minister, his words are on record when he said that whoever has the courage should try to stop Sohail Afridi from becoming Chief Minister and show it. Then at the time of the budget, it was said that there are 30 people; establishment touters keep talking about it, but you saw that everyone voted.

Junaid Akbar said, “I challenge you to remove Sohail Afridi; we will make him Chief Minister again the next day.”

When Sohail Afridi was first becoming Chief Minister, even then touters kept spreading different things, but I had said that if you have the courage, try to stop him and show it. Then we made Sohail Afridi the Chief Minister and showed it.

Junaid Akbar Khan further said, “Under which law was Nawaz Sharif allowed to go from jail to Britain, and his bail was approved right at the airport? And now in the present era, the way Justice Aminuddin’s court has taken up the case of PTI founder Imran Khan, after that, in my opinion, the Supreme Court should open a grocery store. In the case of MNA Abdul Latif from Chitral, all other individuals have been acquitted, but his case has not been scheduled for hearing for a year and a half, which clearly shows how PTI’s cases are being treated.”

Calling the debate on new administrative units and provinces a deception of intentions, he said the real objective is not to create empowered units but to strengthen the federation’s grip on provincial resources under the NFC Award. Mohsin Naqvi says the system cannot run without smaller units, but on the other hand, such is the situation of powers that he wants to keep the cricket board, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs all under himself.

The PTI leader said that Islamabad’s area and population are very limited, but have the problems of even one hospital and schools there been resolved?
