Attempt to Kidnap Newborn Foiled at PIMS Hospital in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD:The administration of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital has foiled an alleged attempt to abduct a newborn from the hospital’s nursery.

According to details, three women were arrested in connection with the alleged kidnapping attempt. They were transferred to the Women Police Station and handed over to police for further investigation.

Police said the women were caught while allegedly attempting to take the newborn out of the hospital nursery.

According to police, the three suspects were apprehended by hospital security personnel and relevant staff before they could leave the premises with the baby.

Authorities have launched a further investigation into the incident to determine the circumstances behind the alleged abduction attempt and the suspects’ motives.
