KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi Sits Inside Police Vehicle Himself to Get His Workers Released

Lahore (Daily Qudrat): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi sat inside a police vehicle himself to get his workers released. Sohail Afridi told the police that he will not get out of the vehicle until his workers are released.
Speaking to UrduPoint in this regard, PTI leader Shaukat Basra said that the police have detained the Lahore leadership, arrested hundreds of our people. We were heading toward Liberty when the police set up blockades and arrested our people.
Sohail Afridi announced that we will not leave from here until our leadership and workers are released.
Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi met the family of longtime martyred PTI worker Ishtiaq Ahmed in Lahore and expressed deep grief and anger over Punjab Police’s action.
The Chief Minister offered Fateha for Ishtiaq Ahmed’s martyrdom, expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the family, and prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks and patience for the bereaved family.
Assuring the family of all possible cooperation and support, he said that throwing an Ishtiaq Ahmed into a cauldron of hot oil is an extremely tragic, condemnable, and unacceptable act. Provincial Minister for Information Shafi Jan and other Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders were also accompanying the Chief Minister.
Later, Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi led a street movement rally in Lahore regarding the September 27 long march. At various locations, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers and Imran Khan supporters gave him a warm welcome with enthusiastic slogans and fervent zeal.
Addressing workers at the Do Moria Pul location in Lahore, Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi said that he has clearly told Punjab Police that I do not want security from those who martyred our worker Ishtiaq Ahmed, who was preparing for Milad. Punjab Police should go back to the police stations; the people of Punjab hate you and your uniform.
