Claim of Over Rs 29.3 Million Challan Issued to Maryam Nawaz for Personal Use of Government Aircraft

Lahore (Daily Qudrat): A new claim has surfaced regarding the alleged personal use of a government aircraft by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the millions of rupees in expenses incurred on it.

According to journalist and analyst Syed Imran Shafqat, the Punjab government, after formally calculating the expenses incurred on the Chief Minister’s personal travel, has prepared a challan and handed it over to her. The number of this challan prepared by the Punjab government is 32-A.

He stated that the total amount Maryam Nawaz has been directed to pay under the head of expenses for the Chief Minister of Punjab’s private visit to Britain on the government aircraft amounts to Rs 29,365,976 (2 crore 93 lakh 65 thousand 976 rupees).

On the other hand, no official confirmation or denial has so far been issued by the spokesperson of the Muslim League-N or the Punjab government regarding the claim of this specific challan number 32-A and the amount of over Rs 29.3 million. However, journalist and analyst Rizwan Razi, citing highly responsible sources, has claimed that Maryam Nawaz Sharif has made a final decision to bring the details of all aircraft expenses during her visit to Britain to the public eye.

He stated that the total expenses of approximately Rs 25 million for the aircraft include its flight, landing, and parking charges as well as all other dues. It is being speculated that all these verified documents will be presented before the public and media by Tuesday so that the ongoing speculation on this matter can be put to rest.
