“Just Give Me Three or Four Thousand, You’re Like a Brother”: Islamabad Police Officer Allegedly Seeks Bribe
ISLAMABAD: A video allegedly showing an Islamabad police officer demanding a bribe from a motorist has gone viral on social media, sparking concerns over police conduct in the federal capital.
According to details, the mobile phone video shows a police officer wearing an Islamabad Police blue shirt and a scarf around his neck stopping a car on the road. Instead of taking legal action, the officer can allegedly be heard negotiating with the driver over an amount of money.
In the video, the officer reportedly says, “Give me something for food, just three or four thousand, not more. You’re like a brother.” He further tells the motorist that a traffic challan of Rs4,000 could be issued, but asks him to pay Rs3,000 instead.

The footage also shows the officer checking the driver’s documents and returning them while continuing to ask for money.
The motorist appears to have secretly recorded the conversation and the alleged demand for a bribe on his mobile phone. The video has since circulated widely across major social media platforms.
The authenticity of the video and whether any departmental action has been taken against the police officer could not be independently verified from the footage alone.
