Pakistan Receives No Bids for Latest LNG Purchase Tender

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan has received no bids for its latest tender seeking to purchase a liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo, sources in Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) said.

According to PLL sources, Pakistan issued the LNG tender for the third time in September. The tender sought bids from international companies for one LNG cargo scheduled for delivery between September 12 and 16.

Sources said bids for the LNG cargo were invited until September 8. However, no company submitted a bid for the tender.

The development comes after the government had already cancelled LNG cargo tenders twice in September. Both previous tenders were rejected after suppliers submitted bids that were considered too expensive.
