‘Shooters Are Being Arranged to Kill Us,’ Says Momina Iqbal’s Husband, Alleging Threats by Saqib Chadhar

LAHORE: Hamza Habib, husband of Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal, has leveled serious allegations against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Punjab Assembly member Saqib Chadhar, claiming that shooters are being arranged to kill them.

According to details, Hamza Habib wrote in an Instagram story that after attempts to win people over to their side had failed, efforts were now allegedly underway to arrange shooters to kill them.

He further stated that although his life might be taken, Saqib Chadhar would ultimately face consequences for his alleged actions. He also used strong language against the PML-N lawmaker and accused him of harassment.

Earlier, Momina Iqbal had once again spoken openly about her ongoing dispute with Saqib Chadhar during a recent podcast. She discussed Chadhar’s reported offer of reconciliation and claims concerning financial matters.

The actress said she had made extensive efforts to resolve the dispute but claimed that she and her family were pressured and blackmailed to end the matter. She also alleged that some influential figures in the government had contacted her and offered money.

However, she clarified that neither she nor her husband had received any money from Saqib Chadhar.

Momina Iqbal further alleged that the dispute began during the elections, when what she described as a “kidney scandal” involving Chadhar was exposed. She said that following the controversy, her father ended their relationship, after which allegations and counter-allegations began between the two sides.

The actress also alleged that Chadhar had threatened her, telling her that she could be killed.

The dispute between Momina Iqbal and Saqib Chadhar is already before the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).

It may be noted that Momina Iqbal had previously accused Saqib Chadhar of online harassment, cyberbullying, threats and blackmail. Following her allegations, the NCCIA registered a case against Chadhar under relevant provisions of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and the Pakistan Penal Code.

The allegations remain claims by the parties involved, and the matter is subject to legal proceedings.
