‘No One Has Been Deceived as Much as Imran Khan,’ Claims Anchorperson Muneeb Farooq
ISLAMABAD: Anchorperson Muneeb Farooq has claimed that every meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in jail is formally recorded and that the former prime minister can be heard acknowledging that he has been deceived repeatedly.
Speaking with senior journalist Rauf Klasra, Muneeb Farooq said that nothing was final in politics and that if the PTI used its political cards correctly and effectively, significant changes could take place in the country. He said it was also possible that a way could emerge to provide relief to Imran Khan.

However, he cautioned that these were only possibilities and that the government or powerful circles could use the PTI for their own objectives and to secure votes, after which nothing might materialize for Imran Khan.
Muneeb Farooq said Imran Khan had been repeatedly given assurances that his situation would improve, but little had actually changed.
He claimed that every word spoken during Imran Khan’s meetings in jail was recorded and that in these recordings, the PTI founder could himself be heard saying that he was deceived and defrauded every time.
According to Farooq, despite various past efforts, claims and backdoor negotiations, Imran Khan has so far failed to secure any practical political relief.
