BISP Vehicles Consume Over 810,000 Litres of Fuel in Five Years

ISLAMABAD:Vehicles used by the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) bureaucracy consumed more than 810,000 litres of fuel over the past five years, according to a report presented before Parliament.

The report states that **75 official vehicles** are currently being used by BISP, with more than 810,000 litres of fuel consumed by these vehicles during the last five years, incurring expenses running into tens of millions of rupees.

According to the documents, BISP headquarters has **28 vehicles**, while **12** are in use in Punjab, **17** in Sindh, **7** in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, **6** in Balochistan, and **5** in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The documents show that vehicles in the Islamabad region consumed **402,400 litres** of fuel over the five-year period, while Punjab-region vehicles used **100,788 litres**.

Vehicles in the Sindh region reportedly consumed **1,828,850 litres of fuel** during the same period, according to the figures contained in the document.

The report noted that the fuel consumption by BISP vehicles has resulted in expenditure amounting to tens of millions of rupees over the five years.
