Youth Must Play Positive Role Against Social Media Propaganda: Field Marshal Asim Munir

RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has emphasized the need for a positive and meaningful role by young people in countering social media propaganda, urging the younger generation to adopt a fact-based approach.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir met with students from Harvard Business School, during which regional and global developments as well as Pakistan’s security landscape were discussed.

The army chief highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace, stability and prosperity in the region.

During the interaction, Field Marshal Asim Munir stressed that young people have an important role to play in addressing misinformation and social media propaganda through responsible and meaningful engagement.

According to ISPR, the Harvard Business School students described their experience of visiting Pakistan as excellent.

The meeting provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on Pakistan’s security environment and broader regional and global issues.
