PAT files yet another plea in the Lahore High Court

LAHORE – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) on Saturday has filed yet another plea in the Lahore High Court.
PAT filed a plea in Lahore High ‎Court (LHC) demanding Punjab government to issue notification regarding formation of new joint ‎investigation team (JIT) to probe Model Town carnage. ‎

On December 5, Supreme Court (SC) had disposed of PAT’s plea and directed the provincial ‎government to reconstitute the team to investigate Model Town massacre.‎

During the proceedings, PAT chief broke into tears and said that the victims of Model Town incident ‎were waiting for the justice from past four years. The previous JIT was formed without taking us into ‎confidence, he added.‎

Earlier, Lahore High Court (LHC) had turned down PAT plea seeking summons of ex-prime minister ‎Nawaz Sharif, former Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shahbaz Sharif and ten other ministers in the case.‎
