QUETTA: DAILY QUDRAT :Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan on Friday announced to oppose no-confidence motion against Chairman Senate Meer Sadiq Sanjrani called the move as an attempt to deprive Balochistan from leading the upper house of the parliament.
“Opposition parties should refrain from mocking Balochistan’s representation in Senate because no-confidence motion against Chairman Senate would send a negative gesture among people of Balochistan.” Jam Kamal said announced to defend any move against Sadiq Sanjrani.
He shared these views on Friday while addressing the Journalist Community in Quetta after taking oath from the newly elected body of Quetta Press Club.
“Balochistan has been passing through from a new development phase because today Pakistan’s development being attached with Balochistan thus our representation should be given respect.
Citing the role of Pakistan Peoples’ Party in electing Sanjrani as Chairman Senator CM Balochistan said, PPP played a supportive role in giving Balochistan this colossal opportunity added opposition should allow Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani to complete his tenure because these attempts would create chaos in current political scenario.
“Balochistan Awami Party would support Chairman Senate and we would approach all coalition parties to foil attempt against Balochistna’s representation.” Jam Kamal said called Sadiq Sanjrani as neutral chairman in the upper house of the Parliament.
Repulsing speculations regarding difference in federal cabinet and Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s nomination as next PM Jam Kamal said, Prime Minister Imran Khan has a good will regarding future of Pakistan and Balochistan but time required to address all issues including fiscal crisis,
“Yes inflation has become a major issue for current government but it was not created by this government, Federal Government taking all necessary steps to steer out the country from current crisis.”
Provincial Ministers Zahoor Buledi, Engineer Zamrak Khan Achakzai, Opposition Leader Malik Sikandar Advocate, MPA Jan Muhammad Jamali, Qadiri Nail, Rasheed Baloch, Spokesman to provincial government Liaquat Shawani, Special Assistant to CM Bilal Kakar, President Quetta Press Club Raza ur Rehman, Secretary General Zafar Baloch and a large number of journalists were present in the oath taking ceremony of QPC.
Talking on the importance of free press in the society CM Balochistan said, provincial development directly connected with electronic and print media because their reports reflects our performance,
“Our Government seek to work with media on same page therefore we have allocated rupees 30 million to establish a Media Academy in Balochistan named after senior Journalist Siddique Baloch.” CM Balochistan said pledged to increase Journalists’ welfare Fund added Journalist Housing Scheme would be approved soon.
He also announced to amendments in criteria of Journalise Welfare fund announced to start welfare scheme for Journalists’ family.
Addressing the ceremony Provincial Minister for Finance and Information Zahoor Buledi said, media has always played a positive role in Balochistan lamented over attitude of electronic media owners toward provincial issues.
Lauding the response of CM Jam Kamal on QPC’s demands President Raza ur Rehman said, provincial government has quickly responded on our demands added Siddique Baloch Media Academy would be a milestone in fostering professional Journalism in Balochistan.
